Rainbow Bright Mary's, Color Wheel Hair

"I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way - things I had no words for."

Georgia O'Keeffe

Rainbows...reds...butter cream yellow...Meadham + Kirchhoff have my soul in a technicolor blanket in the trunk of their car...I plan to keep it their for a while. The collection was...sort of almost religious.

'Yellow of the Sun, Black of the Night'

I was reminded by this bumblebee Prada hat of this dress I saw on Stylelikeu. One of the greatest I've seen, Ossie Clarke and preserved by the talented Laura Helms.
So great! I don't want to say bumblebee..but where else could people find such inspiration but in nature?

On that note-
I really want to read this book- the history of stripes- apparently connotated with the devil and servants (in Europe ...) in past times! It's so amazing to think of the history of these things- how our favorite stuff today was witches stuff way back when.

is my favorite color

Milan has been so special this season. It hasn't been the week I look forward to in the fashion weeks for so long, but now I'm reminded of the joy it brings!

White

Collections like Missoni 2011 make me dizzy and happy from color overdose. Monochrome collections make me happy too. It is so interesting to explore one idea- one color- in depth.

the white dress is so interesting- it has that whole "wedding" attachment, but is also the color worn to funerals in most parts of the world. It is a clean slate, very emotional...and controversial.

Missoni how you thrill us!

The colors at Missoni were so vibrant, and so varied...it's impossible to separate what's what from what!

They were tertiary colors, however, eighties sweater colors, edged with black and square things. I think Milan is having such a glorious, colorful moment.

However, we'll start off with one dress- a butterscotch moment in the sea of colors which are Missoni knits!

think of how many different threads they must have used on just one dress. All the shades of orange and brown- and black...bronze, gamboge, ochre, pumpkin...all those threads are there.
